Falz-Fein's virgin steppe. Under occupation.
Friedrich Falz-Fein founded the private reserve at Chapli in 1874; a dendrological park grew in 1885, a zoo in 1886, and the main treasure is a great tract of virgin feather-grass steppe kept in its primeval state. Since the start of the full-scale invasion the reserve has been under russian occupation.
