Kateryna Bilokur Museum-Homestead, Bohdanivka
The house, garden and grave of the folk painter whose flowers Paris saw in 1954.
Kateryna Bilokur lived her whole life in Bohdanivka and painted self-taught, with no schooling at all. In 1954 her canvases were shown at an exhibition in Paris — and the self-taught woman from a Poltava-land village became a name of world naive art. The museum-homestead opened in 1977: the house with its painted stove, the studio, the park, and the artist's burial beside the home.
72 Kateryny Bilokur Street, Bohdanivka village. No schedule has been published — arrange in advance: (045) 755-56-03.
