Repin Museum, Chuhuiv
The house where Chuhuiv-born Ilya Repin lived in 1876–1877 — a museum since 1969, now online only.
The museum-estate was ceremonially opened on 3 August 1969 for the 125th anniversary of the birth of the artist, a native of Chuhuiv. The memorial house on Muzeina Street is a building of the military-settlement era, where Repin lived with his family from October 1876 to September 1877; his son Yurii was born here in 1877, and after returning from France the artist set up a separate studio. The exhibition holds four original icons painted by Repin at 14–18, portraits, drawings and etchings, works by Serov and Makovsky. The museum complex also includes an art gallery on Soborna Square and a local history museum.
8 Muzeina Street. Under martial law the museum does not admit visitors and works online; Chuhuiv is under regular attack — on 5 September 2026 a drone killed three people in the town centre, a father and two children.
