A neo-Gothic Jesuit church of 1891–1894 that served as an archive for half a century.

The foundation stone was laid on 7 June 1891 and the church consecrated on 25 October 1894; the design was by Professor Josef Leitzner, director of the Chernivtsi Higher Industrial School. The basilica is 52.9 m long, the towers 58.39 m high. From 1961 the building housed the regional archive: it was divided by reinforced-concrete floors, the organ and stained glass were destroyed, and the director's office was set up where the altar had stood. In 2010 the archive was moved out and the church returned to the community; services resumed in 2016, and restoration continues — in 2024 the copper cladding of the spire was replaced. Here too the Jesuits opened the "Space of Hope", free psychological support for soldiers and their families.

2a Tarasa Shevchenka Street, near Soborna Square. Restoration is under way — part of the church may be closed.
