A 19th-century neo-Gothic mansion, from 1887 the residence of the governors of Katerynoslav, now the Museum of the History of Dnipro.

The neo-Gothic house on Voskresenska Street was built, according to travels.in.ua, in 1840–1850 as the mansion of Major Hryhorii Shcherbakov; discover.ua dates it to the first half of the 19th century, probably the 1830s–1840s. From the mid-19th century (according to discover.ua, from 1850) it housed the Katerynoslav English Club, and from 1887 to 1917 the house was the residence of the governors of Katerynoslav — hence the name. In the 1990s the building was bought and reconstructed by PrivatBank (according to travels.in.ua, in 1997). Since 2021 it has housed the Museum of the History of Dnipro; with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation the museum has installed a tactile mnemonic diagram, tour materials and a book on the city's history in Braille, a portable ramp and audio guides in Ukrainian and English. Travels.in.ua and discover.ua describe the house as an architectural monument of national significance.
