The Ostrozky castle of 1492 with bastions and Gogol's dungeons.
The Ostrozky princes founded their family castle in 1492; later it passed to the Zaslavskys, Sanguszkos and Lubomirskis. The fortress walls withstood Tatar sieges of the 16th century, and in the 17th two bastions with towers reinforced the castle. Its system of cellars and underground passages is described by Gogol in "Taras Bulba". Today it is the heart of the Dubno historical reserve.
From 1 April — 9:00–18:00 without a break, ticket office until 17:00, tour bookings until 16:00 (2026). 7a Zamkova Street; the halls close 15 min before the end of the day.
