Church of St John the Baptist, Dubrovytsia
A masonry Piarist church of the late 17th — early 18th century, consecrated in 1742; an architectural monument of national significance.
The first wooden church in Dubrovytsia was founded in 1684 for the Piarist order at the expense of Jan Karol Dolski. The masonry church is dated to 1695–1701 or 1695–1702, and in 1742 it was consecrated by Bishop Franciszek Kobielski. After the dissolution of the Piarist monastery and school in 1832, the church was handed over to the diocesan clergy. In 1945 the church was closed, and at the same time a stained-glass window made in Venice disappeared. In 1992 the church was returned to the Roman Catholic parish; restoration was carried out in the early 1990s and in 1999.
