The only surviving house of the Hrushevsky estate on Pankivska Street.

The family bought the three-storey annex at 9 Pankivska Street in 1908. The six-storey apartment house of the estate next door was burned during Muravyov's Bolshevik assault on Kyiv in January 1918 — the annex survived and remained the family's only home. Here the historian lived with his brother, daughter and nephew and received figures of the Ukrainian Revolution. The museum was founded in 1992 as a branch of the Kyiv History Museum and opened to visitors in 2006: about five thousand items as of 2005 — furniture, documents, manuscripts, the complete works, the floor clock from his study, and Ivan Trush's portrait of 1903.

Wednesday–Sunday, 10:00–18:00; the main exhibition is closed under martial law, temporary exhibitions are open (museum contacts page, checked 01.10.2026). The museum stands in a courtyard: the entrance is through the archway of the building at 7 Pankivska Street or from Skoropadskoho Street through the archway between buildings 21 and 23 (ibid.).
