Latin Cathedral, Lviv
A Gothic cathedral of the 14th–15th centuries — Lviv's only great Gothic church to survive.
The archcathedral basilica of the Assumption was built from the 1360s for over a century. The Gothic choir and nave outlived fires and rebuilds, so outside the Gothic neighbours baroque chapels of later ages; beside it stand the Kampian and Boim chapels — the memory of merchant Lviv. The main church of the city's Roman Catholic community.
A working church: silence and modest dress, as in any cathedral.
