Kharkiv Art Museum
A Beketov mansion of 1912 and a collection of 26,000 items. Online only since the strike.
The museum was founded in 1905, and in 1912 it received a mansion built by Oleksii Beketov for the industrialist Ihnatyshchev. The best of the holdings — over 26,000 items — was evacuated back in 2022, and that saved the collection. The building itself was hit three times: in March 2022 the facade, windows and stained glass were blown out; at the end of 2023 a blast wave struck; and on 14 June 2026 a drone hit the museum — the roof caught fire, the blaze covered more than 1,200 square metres and the floors above the second storey collapsed.
Closed to visitors: the museum works online only. This point is a memory and an address at which to follow the rebuilding.
