A village museum with almost three thousand works of the 1950s–1980s — from Yablonska to Zaretsky.

The collection was assembled from 1974 by Yosyp Bukhanchuk (1922–1990), a career officer and collector, who gave the museum 600 works. A purpose-built building with skylights for natural lighting was begun in 1979 and opened in 1985 with the support of the local collective farm; in 1986 the museum became state-owned. The holdings number almost 3,000 works of painting, graphic art and sculpture; the permanent exhibition shows 700 of them in seven halls over 1,500 m². Among the artists are Tetiana Yablonska, Mykola Hlushchenko, Oleksii Shovkunenko, Ivan-Valentyn Zadorozhnyi and Viktor Zaretsky. In 2009 17 paintings were stolen from the museum, and in 2019 exhibitions of a project on decommunisation caused a conflict with the regional council. In 2026, after repairs to the roof and windows damaged by explosions at a neighbouring enterprise, the museum opened the exhibition "Lines of Time".

The exhibition halls are open again from 25.07.2026, after the building was damaged by explosions on 03.07.2025 (20 khvylyn Zhytomyr, 17.07.2026). The opening hours could not be verified, so check before the trip. On the Kyiv — Zhytomyr highway: any minibus to the Kmytiv turn-off.
