Town Hall, Kolomyia
A neo-Renaissance town hall of 1877 standing half-turned to the square — the blue-and-yellow flag was raised here on 1 November 1918.
The masonry town hall was built in 1875–1877 on the site of a wooden one that burned in 1865; the 33-metre tower took its present form in 1948. The neo-Renaissance building with a spired Gothic roof is the only town hall in Ukraine set half-turned to the main square, with a corner tower and a viewing balcony. On 1 November 1918 the blue-and-yellow flag was raised on the tower. Until 1944 the magistrate and town board worked here, in 1947–1990 a dental clinic and a medical college; since 1990 the building is administrative again — the city council and its executive committee sit here.
1 Mykhailo Hrushevsky Avenue. An administrative building: outside at any time, inside during council hours; there are no tower tours.
