Three hillforts of the Drevlian capital above the Uzh — the town Princess Olha burned in 946.

The chronicle first mentions Iskorosten under 945 in connection with the killing of Prince Ihor by the Drevlians; in 946 Princess Olha burned the town. The archaeological counterpart of the chronicle's Iskorosten is three hillforts of the 8th–13th centuries on the right bank of the Uzh, systematically excavated since 1887; material of the 6th–10th centuries from the Krasna Hirka hillfort confirmed the chronicle's account. The hillfort of the chronicle town Iskorosten is an archaeological monument of national significance by Cabinet resolutions of 2001 and 2009. The hillforts lie in Drevlianskyi Park on both banks of the Uzh, with Olha's Bath, a sculpture of Prince Mal and the underground complex Skelia of 1935.

Open ground, no ticket; tours through the Korosten Tourist Information Centre (20 Hrushevskyi Street). Korosten suffers missile and drone strikes — the 2026 Deruny Festival was cancelled; heed the alerts.
