Krylos — Ancient Halych
The capital of the Halych principality: the Dormition cathedral's foundations and the Halychyna Mound.
The village of Krylos stands right on ancient Halych — the princely capital that gave Halychyna its name. In the field lie the foundations of the 12th-century Dormition cathedral, one of the greatest churches of Rus, located by the excavations of 1936; nearby are the 16th-century Dormition church, the Halychyna Mound barrow and the reserve's museum.
Open-air foundations: don't walk on the masonry, view from the paths.
