The house of Vasyl Yakibiuk, where Franko spent his summers from 1901 to 1914; a museum since 1953.

Franko came to Kryvorivnia every summer from 1901 to 1914, except 1905 and 1908, and stayed in the house of Vasyl Yakibiuk — village doctor, woodcarver, musician and photographer. Here he wrote the novella "The Great Noise", the poem "A Thorn in the Foot", and the stories "In the Smithy" and "How Yura Shykmaniuk Waded the Cheremosh". Lesia Ukrainka, Hnat Khotkevych, Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky, Mykhailo Hrushevsky, Volodymyr Hnatiuk and Ivan Trush came here to visit Franko. In 1953 a museum room was opened in the house, and in 1960, on the initiative of Lviv University, the whole house was given over to a literary memorial museum. On display are the writer's bed, bench, clock and folding armchair. In 1911 Petro Shekeryk-Donykiv walked these parts with Kotsiubynsky, helping him gather material for “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”.

10:00–18:00, lunch break 13:00–14:00, closed Monday. A branch of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Museum.
