Ivan Franko Estate Museum, Nahuievychi
Franko's birthplace: the forge, the rebuilt house and the Ivan Franko Trail.
Ivan Franko was born here on 27 August 1856 into a blacksmith's family, and described his father's house in the 1913 sketch \"My Paternal Home\". The museum was created in 1946 — the first display stood in the cottage of his nephew; in 1951 it moved to a new building in the village centre, and the museum's own premises were built in 1986. The parental estate was rebuilt in 1981, when the Ivan Franko Trail was laid out with wooden sculptures, a chapel and a summer theatre. In the yard stand the forge, the stable, the shed with tools and the apiary; in 1994 the village's memorial places became a state historical and cultural reserve.
The reserve is open: on 27.08.2026 Franko's 170th anniversary was marked here, and a tactile miniature of the estate with an audio guide for visually impaired people was unveiled (Drohobych City Council, 27.08.2026). The museum is open 10:00–18:00, closed Monday, but this information is old, so check before setting out by tel. (03244) 7-86-26 (Drohobych District State Administration, 19.05.2021).
