Yurieva Bozhnytsia (St George's shrine) is the altar part of St Michael's Church, which the chronicle links with Volodymyr Monomakh and the founding of Horodets on the Oster in 1098. Of the church there survive the apse and part of the north wall with frescoes of the turn of the 11th–12th centuries. In 1753 lightning burned the wooden upper part, and in the late 18th – early 19th century most of the building was dismantled. A copy of the fresco “The Eucharist” from the apse is kept in the St Sophia Reserve. In 2022 destruction of the cultural layer as a result of russian aggression was recorded on the hillfort, and in May 2025 archaeologists conserved the damaged pillar.
