St Panteleimon's Church
A church of 1194 — the oldest surviving building of Halychyna.
The white-stone church of St Panteleimon was finished in 1194 under prince Roman Mstyslavych — the only surviving church of the capital Halych architectural school. The carved Romanesque portals survived rebuilding into a baroque Franciscan church and the shelling of 1915; restorations of 1926 and 1998 returned the original silhouette.
Shevchenkove village: a working church, silence during services.
