A castle tower above the Dnister — all that is left of Bieniewski's fortress.

The fortress above the crossing of the Dnister was put up by Dominik Wojciech Bieniewski, cup-bearer of Halych; construction was finished around 1660. The castle was an irregular polygon of roughly 40 × 60 m with three towers and walls 1.5–2 m thick. The Turks took and wrecked it in 1672 and 1676, in 1768 during the Bar Confederation the castle was burned, and in the 19th century locals dismantled the walls for building stone. What stands today is a hexagonal tower about 20 metres high with a rare system of internal stairs, and a fragment of wall.

Access is free and open; the only facility is an information board with a historical note by the tower (karpaty.rocks, updated 17.08.2025). The last stretch is a dirt track, so footwear for rough ground is needed.
