Raievsky Mausoleum, Rozumivka

openas of 2026-09-301833Zaporozhzhia

A classicist pantheon church of 1833–1855 over the grave of General Mykola Raievsky; a reserve that is a branch of the museum.

The church was founded in May 1833 over the grave of the cavalry general Mykola Raievsky and completed in 1855. The white-stone pantheon church in the classicist style has a portico on twelve cast-iron columns, each assembled from seven prefabricated blocks. Buried in the crypt are the general (1771–1829), his daughter Sofiia (1806–1881) and his grandson Colonel Mykola Raievsky (1839–1876), who was killed in Serbia. In 1966 the church was closed and the dome dismantled, and in 1967 a museum opened here. Since 2006 the monument has been part of a historical and architectural reserve — a branch of the Central Ukrainian Regional Museum of Local History.
