Sambir Town Hall

A town hall with a 40-metre clock tower — the heart of central Sambir.
The stone town hall on the Rynok rose after the fire of 1637: the building and tower went up in 1638–1668, the tower was finished in 1670, and the Viennese-classicist look came in 1844. The tower clock has counted the town's time since 1885; the city council still works inside. Andriy Kuzmenko — "Kuzma Skryabin", frontman of the band Skryabin — was born in Sambir in 1968. Here in Sambir, on 25 February 1887, Les Kurbas was born — the reformer of Ukrainian theatre.
The town hall is a working city council: the tower only by scheduled tours.
