A town hall with a 50-metre tower — the second tallest in Ukraine.

Work on the masonry town hall in a classicist manner began in 1861 to a design by the Chernivtsi architect Josef Schreiber and was only finished in 1909. The square tower narrows through three tiers and ends in a spire with a weather vane; all four faces carry clock dials with chimes that strike every quarter hour. On the facade is the town's coat of arms, granted by Emperor Leopold in 1790. The building now houses the town council.

This is a working council building. Since March 2026 the tower can be climbed: a viewing platform, 152 steps, only by prior booking at the museums in the town hall (096 472 36 69, 068 529 29 66); ticket 30 UAH, students 20, schoolchildren and pensioners 15.
