Svirzh Castle
A castle above a pond, familiar from Ukrainian cinema.
The complex was founded in the late 15th century by the owners of the town of Svirzh. Its setting above water and terraces makes it one of the most photogenic in the region, so it has repeatedly served as a film set. A stone griffin sits above a window on the main façade, the bridge over the moat survives, and there are two courtyards — the main one and the service one.
Tours since 2026: Friday 10:00–16:00, Saturday and Sunday 10:00–17:00; soldiers and children under 12 free. A small village: fill up and buy water in advance.
