Reformed Church, Tiachiv
A Gothic church known since 1332, with a coffered ceiling of 1748 and a bell tower of 1810.
According to tradition, the church was founded by the Hungarian King László (Ladislaus) the Great as a Roman Catholic church, and the first documentary records of it date from 1332. In 1546 the church changed its rite and became a Reformed church. It is a Gothic single-nave stone church in which walls from the 13th century survive to their full height, together with two slit windows. The coffered ceiling with polychrome painting of 1748 has 200 coffers, and in 1810 a three-tier bell tower with a tented roof was added to the west facade. The organ dates from 1853; until 1944 the church held the library of the Maramureș region.
