A 1749 riding arena that looks like a fortress, later a theatre; damaged during the 2022 occupation.

The Round Court is an oval brick structure with four three-tier towers, built in 1749 by the then owners of Trostianets, the Nadarzhynsky brothers, as a riding arena; from outside it looks like a fortress. When the town passed to the Golitsyns in 1843, the prince (according to the Ukrainian Institute, Vasily Golitsyn) rebuilt the court as a theatre: three tiers of boxes appeared, and serf actors performed in the arena. In Soviet times it was a base of the district consumer union, and a fire caused considerable damage; after restoration in independent Ukraine the court became a venue for the Stara Fortetsia and Skhid-Rock festivals. On 24 February 2022 russian troops entered Trostianets and occupied the town until 26 March: they knocked down the court's gates with a tank, hid their vehicles inside and set up sniper nests in the towers. The outer walls are scarred by shrapnel and russian artillery fire. According to the outlet “Zmist” (January 2024), the building survived but needs restoration.

The Round Court was damaged during the war (cukr.city, 07.11.2025): whether you can get inside and how the restoration is progressing, check with the community before your visit. The community is regularly shelled: on 19.09.2026 civilian infrastructure was damaged in the Trostianets community (LB.ua, 19.09.2026), and on 04.08.2026 it was hit by at least 5 “Geran” strikes, two people were wounded (Sumski Debaty, 04.08.2026).
