The "Volhynian Versailles" — the palace of the Vyshnevetsky family above the Horyn.

The family seat of the Vyshnevetsky princes — the line of Dmytro "Baida" Vyshnevetsky, builder of the first Sich on Khortytsia. Yarema Vyshnevetsky's castle of 1640, wrecked in 1675, was reborn in 1716 as a palace-residence with a park; its splendour earned it the name "Volhynian Versailles". Now a branch of the "Castles of Ternopil Region" reserve.

5 Zamkova Street, Vyshnivets; you can walk through the palace and the park on your own or with a guide booked on site. The palace is open to visitors — in November 2025 a touchscreen information kiosk began operating there (Ukrinform, 13.11.2025). No current dated schedule for the palace itself has been found, so phone the “Castles of Ternopil Region” reserve before you travel: (03550) 2-42-47 (reserve website, as of 02.10.2026).
