The re-created wing of the Repnin estate — the one where the poet lived in the winter of 1843–1844.

Of the Rozumovsky-Repnin estate only the stone risalit of the palace has survived: the main block was pulled down under Soviet rule. The wooden wing where Shevchenko lived perished in the Second World War, and the present one was built anew in 2003, already as a museum — six halls with furniture from the estate. The surviving risalit houses a picture gallery with over seventy works by Kateryna Bilokur.

This is a re-creation of 2003, not a building of Shevchenko's time.
