The multi-domed mosque of Gözleve, 1552–1564, where Crimean khans were invested.

The mosque was founded in 1552 under Khan Devlet I Giray; according to Krym.Realii, construction was led by the Ottoman architect Hoca Sinan, while the Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine gives 1564, the year of completion. Krym.Realii calls it the only multi-domed mosque in Crimea; the investiture of Crimean khans took place here. In the 1990s the mosque was returned to the faithful. On 26 December 2025 russian security forces, together with the Kremlin-controlled Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea, entered the mosque during Friday prayer, after which it was “temporarily closed” (Krym.Realii, 03.01.2026); according to the Mission of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, as reported by Ukrinform, the occupiers installed their own imam here.

Impossible to reach while the occupation lasts. Since December 2025 the mosque has been run by the Kremlin-controlled Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea (Krym.Realii, Ukrinform).
